Watch DARPA autopilot fly Cessna

It is still a long run until DARPA autopilot system will fly military jets on its own, but latest demonstration proves that it’s operational.
Aurora Flight Sciences, aviation company developing “aviation brains” for the agency, successfully tested it on a Cessna Caravan turboprop aircraft.

Aircrew Labor In-Cockpit Automation System (ALIAS) consists of a robotic arm and a tablet user interface featuring speech recognition.
