US Bitcoin Depot Deploys Over 350 ATMs in US, Global Number Exceeds 19,000

In its drive to expand the frontiers of the cryptocurrency market around the globe, cryptocurrency ATM operator, Bitcoin Depot had deployed additional 355 new teller machines across the United States as ATMs supporting crypto-fiat exchange now exceeds 19,000 worldwide, the company announced in a press release recently.

US Bitcoin Depot Grows ATM Coverage to 40 State

Bitcoin Depot ATM outlets permit registered users with a wallet address to purchase cryptocurrencies on their machines for as low as a price below $250 and a valid phone number good enough for ID verification.

The company which is based in Atlanta announced that it has deployed over 2,500 crypto ATMs worldwide with most of them installed in the United States. The most recent batch 355 machines were deployed in 40 US states as follows; 40 in Florida, 32 across North Carolina, 24 in Texas, 23 in California, and 20 which is in its home state of Georgia, with most of the ATM outlets open 24/7.

In just six months, Bitcoin Depot has doubled its global reach and now expects its expansion to get up to 200% this year, it said in a press release.

Bitcoin Depot ATMs supports the purchase and sales of cryptocurrencies with fiats such as ETH, LTC, and BTC. The President and CEO of Bitcoin Depot Brandon Mintz believe that cryptocurrency provides opportunities and bridge the gap for the unbanked demography who don’t have access to financial services. In his words,

“Our kiosks allow them to essentially self-bank through the digital wallet on their phone, by turning their cash into cryptocurrency which can be used to transfer money, pay bills or invest.”

19,000 ATMs Around the World Offer Access to Cryptocurrencies

In a related development, many other companies are intensifying efforts as Bitcoin Depot to increase the number of Cryptocurrency ATMs globally. According to data compiled by a tracking website Coinatmradar, there are now over 19,300 ATMs and tellers providing crypto-fiat exchanges in 73 countries of the world, almost twice the number registered in September last year.

The teller machines are deployed and operated by about 600 different companies and produced by up to 40 manufacturers. LTC, ETH, BTC, and BCH among the top widely supported cryptocurrencies.
According to Coinatmradar’s bitcoin ATM market report published in April, It revealed that the speed of installations maintained a stable rise, between 8% and 10%, during the previous monthly period.
