Unknown Entity Set Up 20k Bitcoin Miners in Siberia

According to a prominent firm, an unknown entity just imported twenty thousand Cryptocurrency mining machines to Russia. The shipment device is said to be around $40m to $60m and was set up in Bratsk.

The report says that in December before bitcoin crosses to an ATH of $20k, mining devices with a total capacity of 70 megawatts, valued at around $40m to $60m, were imported.

BitRiver CEO Igor Runets said the equipment was shipped from Asia to its own data center in Bratsk, Siberia’s industrial city. He acknowledged the installation is currently one of the largest know crypto mining operations in the country. However, he disclosed that the buyer and seller’s name or type of equipment is still unknown.

Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance (CCAF) said that Russia currently has the third crypto mining capacity after the US and China.

CCAF data disclosed that Russia, the US, and China have mining capacities of 6.9%, 7.24%, 65.08%, respectively.
