TV audience measurement

StarHub is about to launch a tv audience measurement system. Why is it interesting? For many years marketing professionals are trying to measure “offline” impact of media/advertising. And so far the old school principles dominated in accuracy: coupons, promo codes, campaign specific url’s.

Will this be a game changer? To be honest, without meaning any disrespect to StarHub, I don’t see a huge innovation in this approach (at least from how it is being explained).
