Just a few days ago, Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Tesla TSLA and SpaceX, ousted Jeff Bezos to cling to the world’s richest man; he is reportedly on several occasions saying he would not turn down being paid in the soaring cryptocurrency bitcoin.
According to Ben Mezrich, the author behind the movie The Social Network, in a tweet, “I’m never turning down getting paid in bitcoin again,” replying to the tweet, Musk agreed to say: “Me neither.”
With bitcoin price reaching an ATH daily since early December 2020, the institutional investment seems to be driving the market. Concurrently the market is attracting a lot of individuals to invest as well as accept bitcoin. The cryptocurrency market from a half a trillion-dollar market before December 2020 is now worth over 1 Trillion dollars in market capitalization.

In another tweet, responding to the chief executive of MicroStrategy MSTR MSTR, a business intelligence company that has attracted significant attention in recent months by buying over $1 billion worth of bitcoin, inquired whether it was possible to convert billions of Tesla’s dollars to bitcoin, Musk sparked wild speculation saying his electric car company could add bitcoin to its balance sheet during a public exchange on Twitter.
