Signal, A Non-profit Private Messaging App is Now Accepting Crypto Donations

According to a Signal blog post, titled; “Donate to Signal”, the private messaging app disclosed it is now accepting Crypto donation. Because the private messaging app, Signal is non-profit, it is open to donations to function. Concurrently, they are accepting crypto donations through a third party called The Giving Block that enables Crypto donations integration on the Signal platform.

Signal’s non-profit backing organization was founded in 2018 by Moxie Marlinspike and Brian Acton and runs on donations. The Giving Block enables Signal to accept crypto donations which include Bitcoin, Ether, and other 10 cryptocurrencies.

Before the organization started accepting Crypto donations, Platformer reported that Signal’s staff had some time ago expressed concerns about crypto payments being integrated into the platform.
