Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin-Laden MicroStrategy Stake Boast to 10.9%

Morgan Stanley’ Bitcoin holdings in MicroStrategy are now over $2B, approximately 10.9% of its net worth. He is said to own 792,627 shares of MicroStrategy, according to a  filing made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. 

Before MicroStrategy’s investment in crypto, it is a relatively little known business intelligence firm. They boosted its stake by almost 650,000 shares since the end of Q3. 

MicroStrategy soared 330% since the company bought its first bitcoin (BTC, +2.47%) on Aug. 11, 2020, rising from $123.80 to $539.57.

Before the company’s Bitcoin investment, MicroStrategy’s share has fallen 13% from Jan. 2, 2020, through Aug. 10, 2020. Concurrently, upon investing in Bitcoin, it rose to more than 40% following the 30% gain in 2020.
